The Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA/Test Engineer to join our development team on a part-time contract basis. This role will be embedded directly within the development lifecycle, ensuring quality is applied from the earliest stages of feature planning through to release. The successful candidate will perform hands-on manual testing across web, mobile, and API services, while also contributing to automation, performance testing, and continuous improvement of QA practices.
This is a mid-level, impact-driven role suitable for someone who thrives in Agile environments, collaborates effectively, and takes ownership of delivering defect-free, reliable product features to customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with developers and the Product Owner to validate features alongside active development.
  • Perform manual exploratory, functional, regression, and UAT testing across web, mobile, and API platforms.
  • Design, plan, and execute performance and load testing to evaluate system scalability and stability.
  • Define, document, and maintain testing requirements, test plans, test cases, and regression suites.
  • Contribute to and expand test automation coverage using Playwright or equivalent test frameworks.
  • Integrate testing practices with CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery and deployment.
  • Track, report, and manage defects using DevOps tools, ensuring clarity and timely resolution.
  • Participate in sprint ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, and backlog discussions.
  • Provide feedback on requirements, designs, and acceptance criteria to ensure testability and user-aligned outcomes.
  • Promote QA best practices, advocate for quality improvements, and help reduce technical debt.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience as a QA/Test Engineer in Agile development environments.
  • Strong manual testing background including exploratory, regression, and acceptance testing.
  • Experience testing across web, mobile, and API platforms.
  • Hands-on familiarity with Playwright or similar test automation tools.
  • Understanding of CI/CD workflows (Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions preferred).
  • Knowledge of performance testing concepts and tools.
  • Excellent bug reporting, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Experience with issue-tracking platforms such as Linear.
  • Collaborative, detail-driven, and comfortable working in a hybrid setup.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience testing applications built with .NET, React, React Native, Flutter, Swift, or Golang.
  • Exposure to Azure cloud services, Vercel deployments, or similar platforms.
  • Additional test automation experience (unit, integration, or visual regression).
  • Professional certifications such as ISTQB or cloud fundamentals.
