This is a hands-on product ownership role for someone who's built solid foundations in business analysis and is ready to step into genuine product delivery. You'll own a defined area of the platform — taking responsibility for the backlog, shaping what gets built, and measuring whether it actually worked. Not a documentation role. Not a coordination role. Real ownership.
A note on level We're not looking for a senior hire. We're looking for someone capable, delivery-focused, and genuinely keen to grow their product career. The right person will develop into a full Product Manager over time — with increasing ownership of strategy and customer engagement as their domain matures. If that trajectory sounds appealing, read on.
What you'll own
- The team backlog — keeping it prioritised, detailed, and always in sync with the product roadmap
- Writing user stories and acceptance criteria that engineering can build from with confidence — and accepting completed work against those same standards
- Elaborating roadmap initiatives into well-scoped epics and stories — keeping roughly two iterations of ready work in the backlog at all times
- Release planning and coordination — including internal comms, in-app messaging, and monthly product demos for your area
- Tracking usage data and engagement signals to identify trends and feed them back into the product — every enhancement should have measurable goals before it ships
- Discovery work — user testing, customer interviews, competitive analysis, and market research to keep the team grounded in real problems
- Becoming the internal go-to for your product area — deep functional and technical knowledge of the platform you own
What we're looking for
- 4+ years in a BA, Product Owner, or closely related role in a SaaS environment — ideally with a technical BA background
- Proven ability to write user stories and acceptance criteria that engineering teams can actually build from — without hand-holding
- Hands-on Jira experience and solid agile delivery fundamentals — you know how to keep a backlog healthy and a team flowing
- Technical enough to hold a credible conversation with engineers about how things are built — without needing to own the technical decisions
- Analytically minded — not satisfied when a story ships, you want to know if it moved the right metric
- Comfortable with AI tooling as a genuine collaborator — this team uses AI across story writing, research synthesis, and analytics workflows
Nice to have
Experience with Pendo or similar product analytics tools · Background spanning both technical delivery and product thinking · Familiarity with platform or infrastructure-adjacent product areas
