About the Role

We're partnering with an innovative New Zealand technology company that designs and delivers advanced wireless connectivity solutions.

As a Senior Embedded Software Developer, you'll play a key role in developing embedded software for next-generation connected products. This is a hands-on engineering position where you'll work across the full product development lifecycle, from solution design and implementation through to testing, validation, and delivery.

You'll also work directly with clients, providing technical expertise, contributing to solution discussions, and helping deliver high-quality outcomes on complex engineering projects.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, develop and maintain embedded software using C for wireless connectivity products
• Develop and optimise Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity solutions
• Debug, validate and test embedded systems throughout the development lifecycle
• Collaborate with customers and internal engineering teams to deliver technical solutions
• Mentor junior engineers while contributing to engineering standards and best practices

What We're Looking For

• 3-5+ years' commercial experience developing embedded software within a product development environment
• Strong Embedded C programming experience
• Solid experience working with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and wireless connectivity technologies
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with clients in a consultancy-focused environment
• Ability to work across the full software development lifecycle in a fast-paced engineering environment

Nice to Have

• Experience with Qualcomm audio technologies or connectivity protocols
• Python scripting for validation, automation or testing
• Exposure to Flutter or mobile application development
• Hardware or electronics design experience
• Strong QA and structured testing practices
