We’re working with a well-established, technology-driven business that’s growing its development team for 2027. They’re looking for two experienced C# and SQL Developers on contract to help modernise their platform,
starting in the new year.
This is a contract role: 6-month initial term with a strong likelihood of extending to 12 months, starting around 11 January 2027.

The business has been moving its core logic out of SQL stored procedures and into C#. You’ll be working on one or both of the following:

This is a contract role: 6-month initial term with a strong likelihood of extending to 12 months, starting around 11 January 2027.
The Projects
The business has been moving its core logic out of SQL stored procedures and into C#. You’ll be working on one or both of the following:
- Stored procedure migration: replace the remaining stored procedures with clean, well-structured C# code. This suits someone with strong C# depth.
- Database redesign: re-architect the existing database to support the new application layer. This suits someone with strong SQL Server design and tuning skills.
- Design, develop, test and debug backend components in C#/.NET
- Analyse existing stored procedures and re-implement the business logic in C#
- Contribute to the redesign of the database schema, with a focus on performance and maintainability
- Build and consume Web APIs, applying secure data handling practices
- Work closely with the Development Manager and the wider team to deliver against project milestones
- 5+ years’ backend development experience in the Microsoft stack
- Strong C#/.NET skills
- Solid T-SQL and SQL Server experience, including stored procedures, performance tuning and database design
- Experience refactoring or migrating logic out of the database layer is a big plus
- Web API development and integration experience
- Previous contracting experience and the ability to hit the ground running
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
