Our client is growing their security capability and is looking to make multiple hires, with flexibility to bring in a mix of intermediate and senior Security Consultants / Security Architects, depending on experience and capability.
In this role, you’ll work across on-prem and cloud platforms (Azure and AWS), providing security architecture and design guidance while partnering closely with engineering and delivery teams. This is a hands-on, consultative role focused on improving security maturity through practical, well-designed solutions.

In this role, you’ll work across on-prem and cloud platforms (Azure and AWS), providing security architecture and design guidance while partnering closely with engineering and delivery teams. This is a hands-on, consultative role focused on improving security maturity through practical, well-designed solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Produce pragmatic security architecture and design guidance across project and BAU initiatives
- Support solution delivery through threat modelling, risk assessments, and security requirements
- Review designs covering network, cloud, identity, and application changes
- Contribute to security policies, standards, reference architectures, and reusable patterns
- Provide clear, actionable security advice to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Support security incident readiness and continuous improvement activities
- 5–6+ years’ experience in cybersecurity roles with architecture and/or consulting responsibilities
- Strong understanding of core security domains including:
- Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Network security
- Logging & monitoring
- Vulnerability management
- Encryption and secure build patterns
- Solid networking knowledge (segmentation, firewalls, VPNs, routing, DNS, proxies) with the ability to translate technical detail into security outcomes
- Experience designing, reviewing, or assuring solutions in Azure and/or AWS
- Comfortable producing clear documentation (HLDs, LLDs, security requirements, risk assessments)
- Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with engineers, delivery teams, and business stakeholders
- Working knowledge of Zero Trust, defence-in-depth, and modern enterprise security architecture frameworks
- Experience with cloud security tooling such as Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Azure Policy, AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty (or equivalents)
- Exposure to DevSecOps, CI/CD security, or Infrastructure-as-Code reviews
- CISSP (or working towards) or equivalent breadth of security knowledge
- Experience in regulated environments (e.g. government, finance, health, utilities)
- Strong pipeline of meaningful security work
