What you’ll do
- Build, improve, and maintain backend applications using PHP, Laravel, MySQL, and REST APIs.
- Develop and optimise API integrations, ensuring secure and performant data flow across systems.
- Contribute to solution design, troubleshooting, technical consulting, and architecture discussions.
- Work within Docker environments, Git workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Use AWS tools (S3, Lambda, Cognito, Route53, CloudFront, VPC) to support cloud-enabled solutions.
- Create clear technical documentation, support UAT, and collaborate closely with business stakeholders.
- Provide ad hoc IT support, asset management, and BAU IT assistance across the organisation.
- 4+ years’ experience with Core PHP, Laravel, REST APIs, and MySQL.
- Practical experience with Docker, Git, CI/CD, and modern development practices.
- Solid SQL skills and familiarity with JavaScript frameworks and CSS.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical detail into plain language.
- Experience with AWS cloud services and an interest in scalable, cloud-native designs.
- A proactive mindset, willingness to learn, and comfort working in a dynamic environment.
- Exposure to Next.js or Statamic CMS.
- Experience across solution design and best practice architecture.
- Prior involvement in IT support, BAU tasks, or infrastructure projects.
- High-quality, stable backend solutions delivered reliably.
- Smooth collaboration across development, product, and IT support teams.
- Proactive contribution to BAU IT operations and cloud/integration projects.
- Continuous improvement through learning, experimentation, and modernisation.
